A SPATIAL COMPUTING RETAIL EXPERIENCE FOR M·A·C COSMETICS ON APPLE VISION PRO — REDEFINING WHAT BEAUTY COMMERCE CAN BE.

A Problem That Has Not Been Solved

Online beauty retail has a fundamental limitation that better photography, richer video, and AR filters have not resolved.

Texture. Finish. The way color behaves in different light. These are the qualities that drive purchase decisions in beauty. They cannot be communicated through a flat screen. Consumers know this. They compensate with guesswork, reviews, and in-store trips.

The information is there. The experience is not.

A Different Question

The conventional approach asks: how do we improve the existing e-commerce flow?

We asked: what if shopping could be walked into?

These are different design problems. Apple Vision Pro made the second question answerable for the first time.

What We Built

We designed an immersive virtual beauty store for M·A·C Cosmetics on Apple Vision Pro.

Products exist as three-dimensional objects — observable from every angle, explorable up close, understood in space rather than presented on a screen. Over 40 shades are organized into an intuitive color world, making comparison and selection feel natural rather than effortful. Texture and finish can be read visually in ways that approximate physical experience.

Gesture-based interaction and spatial navigation give users genuine freedom to explore. Even gifting becomes an experience rather than a transaction.

Shopping becomes something worth staying in — not just a task to complete.

What This Means for the Brand

In the spatial computing era, brand advantage does not come only from product quality. It comes from how well a brand makes consumers feel its world.

Through this experience, M·A·C established deeper connections with early adopters, generated genuine cultural conversation, and secured an early position in the next form of retail — before the category becomes crowded.

The brands that will define spatial commerce are the ones building now.

If your brand is thinking about what retail looks like in the spatial computing era, we are ready to build it with you.
